This guided SuperJeep Tour is a must for anyone that has not been to Iceland before. To finish off the day you will be taken on a 1 hour snowmobile thrilling ride over the Langjokull Glacier before returning early evening to Reykjavik.

Please note the maximum number of passengers in the SuperJeep is 6 in order to give you a very personal and individual tour. This is in sharp contrast to the coach tours that are available through other companies, or the very large SuperJeep Tours with 12 people in.

DAY 3
SuperJeep Northern Lights Hunt

Day at leisure to enjoy Reykjavik. Reykjavik has many excellent museums and is a lovely city situated on the sea. There are plenty of culturally interesting places as well as relaxing places to chill.

This evening you will be taken out from Reykjavik in a Super-jeep into the wilderness for a final search of the Northern Lights. Given cloudless skies sightings can occur from autumn to early spring. The elders say that the colder the nights the more vibrant & intense the colours will be. Swirling and swaying overhead, displays are usually greenish yellow but white, red and pink lights also frequently appear.

Please note the maximum number of passengers in the SuperJeep is 6 in order to give you a very personal and individual tour. This is in sharp contrast to the coach tours that are available through other companies, or the very large SuperJeep Tours with 12 people in.

For those looking for an extended evening this trip can be extended to include a visit to the black volcanic beaches and a Lobster Feast as an optional extra. (Please see below)

Upgrade to Visit the Black Beaches and Lobster Feast From Northern Lights Hunt

For those looking to extend the Northern Lights Hunt first you will drive to the black volcanic beaches on the southwest coast of Iceland where you take in the raw but beautiful landscape whilst looking out for the Northern Lights.

Afterwards your guide will take you to Stokkseyri where you will enjoy a lobster feast.

After dinner the hunt continues for the Northern Lights before dropping you off at your hotel around midnight. Your guide is trained to read the weather, the clouds and the solar activity but unfortunately we cannot guarantee a show. Keep your fingers crossed and hope for the best while you enjoy a super jeep tour out of the beaten path.

Here you can bathe in the warm bright blue waters, put Silica mud on your face or try out the Sauna and Steam rooms which are carved into the lava.

You can easily while away a couple of hours away and there is also a choice of restaurants with lovely views of the Lagoon. We would also recommend the in-water massage treatments which are just heaven!

Hotel Reykjavik Centrum

Hotel Reykjavik Centrum is a relatively new hotel in the heart of the city, opened on April 1st 2005. It is located on one of Reykjavik’s oldest streets, Adalstraeti, right in the heart of Reykjavik in a newly renovated building, the oldest part of which was built in 1764.

The hotel has 89 rooms, each fitted with modern amenities, such as satellite TV, telephone, Internet access, mini-bar, radio, iron and board, hair dryer, safe and tea & coffee set. All rooms have ensuite bathroom with either a shower or a bath.

During its construction, the remains of a Viking longhouse from the Settlement Period were found. Among the finds excavated at the site were Iceland’s oldest human remains, dating from approximately 870 AD.
