These breaks are really quite special as they take you to the Land of the Midnight Sun in Iceland & Greenland at the best time of the year to experience and see as much as possible. In Greenland in June the sun never sets, and in Iceland being that little bit further south the longest daylight hours are on the summer solstice on 21st June at 21 hours.
Without doubt Summer is the time to go to Greenland as you can get out on the boats to experience Icebergs and Whales up close and cruise to the Calving Equip Glacier. To do this with the backdrop of the pink hue of the midnight sunset contrasting against the brilliant white of the icebergs is something really quite stunning and a image that will stay in your memory forever.
Midnight Sun breaks in Iceland work so well as you can pack so much more in and really get to the heart of Iceland so you can experience the wilderness in solitude. All of these breaks get you off the beaten track to some real natural gems that have to be seen to be believed.
You will NOT see the Northern Lights on any of these breaks as you need darkness to see the Aurora Borealis, but we just felt it was a mistake not to share with you the beauty of these destinations at the other end of the year!
