If you are looking for some adventure over next February half term then Aurora Nights’s new break in Iceland may well be for you.
Aurora Nights does not normally offer group travel in Iceland but due to high demand in February half term we have worked up a limited edition break with some exclusive activities not normally available, staying in the wilderness away from the crowds that are starting to intrude in Iceland. The maximum number of people will be 12 to keep the whole experience personal and flexible. Other companies in other areas of Iceland offer coach travel and we truly believe this is not the way to experience the beauty of Iceland.
In your super jeep you will be taken deep into the heart of the Icelandic Highlands staying in an area fantastic for seeing the Northern Lights. Whilst we are hoping you will see them just outside your accommodation we have also included a Northern Lights Hunt to increase your odds of sightings.
Whilst many people talk about the Northern Lights in Iceland , there is infact so much more to see as well. On this trip you will be taken to see many of Icelands natural volcanic wonders and experience Iceland wilderness at it‘s best discovering some hidden gems such as the secret geothermal lagoon, as well as seeing the highlights of the Golden Circle with it‘s Geyser, Gullfoss waterfall and Thingvellir mini rift valley. Bespoke activities such as snowmobiling on a glacier to your own private bbq with incredible views have been included which are not normally available.
We will be taking you off -roading to spectacular remote locations, and there is a high chance that at some stage the vehicle will get stuck in the snow and the guide will need to dig it out. No need to worry we work with highly experienced guides who are also qualified mountain rescue guides and who are used to this all the time. It‘s all part of their daily job for them, and all adds to the adventure and fun on a Northern Lights Holiday in Iceland for you!
